Background
I grew up in Cape Elizabeth and have always lived in sight of the ocean. After school at Kents Hill and the University of Maine for my BA, I moved back to Greater Portland and then Cape Elizabeth where I live with my wife Ann and raised our two sons, Sherwin and Skyler.
Experience Counts
I’ve been a licensed broker since 1977, and have made many close friends through my business. I’ve worked with developers and builders closely over the years and have learned the ins and outs of the process. My job philosophy has been “integrity above all else.”
Calling Maine Home – Giving Direction
I’m a big believer in Maine. I’ve always been interested in houses and people – making this an ideal business for me. I try to give lots of important information and share my knowledge, so when a client sees the right piece of property they know it. Once you get someone pointed in the right direction, even when there are turns in the road, they have the tools to adapt. The greatest satisfaction comes from seeing people discover their new home and helping them negotiate the purchase. Fulfilling people’s dreams is incredibly gratifying.
Community Connections
I’ve been active in my community, sharing my professional expertise. Some of the organizations include: Cape Elizabeth Planning Board for 10 years, Fort Williams Advisory Committee, Greater Portland Landmarks Board, youth sports teams, and Project Graduation.
Simple Pleasures
Restoring old houses, from an Italianate on Portland’s West End to our current architect designed 1929 shingle style, has been both a challenge and one of life’s pleasures for me. Ann and I like to entertain and have friends around. My life is full with boating, fishing, gardening, reading, watching movies, absorbing the ocean, and walking our dogs, Cory and Marley on the beach.
